Numerous reagents and solvents can be used with wash bottles, which can be color-coded for simple content identification.
Pressure applied to the wash bottle by hand forces liquid inside out of the nozzle as either a single drop or a narrow stream.
High vapor pressure reagents can also be used in wash bottles, if caps that have small pressure release holes are used to release excess pressure and avoid unattended material ejection.
